Pause, Resume, Disable, Enable, and Reorder Syncs
Pause a sync
Pausing stops the sync from processing without disabling it. The sync remains configured and can be resumed at any time.
From the dashboard: Click Pause on the dashboard sync card. The card header shows a Paused badge and a Resume button.

From the sync editor: Click Pause sync in the top bar.
While paused, the sync keeps accumulating tasks in its queue. For a Shopify → Airtable sync, incoming Shopify events still create tasks to update Airtable, but those tasks wait until the sync is resumed. Once resumed, the queued tasks process in order.
Resume a paused sync
From the dashboard: Click Resume in the dashboard sync card header.
From the sync editor: Click Unpause sync in the top bar.
A sync may pause automatically after a sync error that requires attention. The dashboard sync card shows an alert with the reason. Resolve the issue, then click Resume.
Disable a sync
Disabling stops all scheduled and triggered runs until the sync is re-enabled. Use this to prevent a sync from running during maintenance or testing.
Unlike pausing, a disabled sync does not accumulate tasks. For a Shopify → Airtable sync, any updates received from Shopify while disabled are ignored and will not process when the sync is re-enabled.
Use Disable sync in Advanced settings.
Enable a disabled sync
Re-enable from the same place: Enable sync in Advanced settings. On the dashboard, disabled cards also show an Enable button (or Enable & resume if the sync was paused before being disabled).
Reorder syncs on the dashboard
The Reorder syncs button appears in the dashboard header when you have two or more syncs.
- Click Reorder syncs
- Drag each row to the position you want, or use the ↑ and ↓ buttons to move a sync one position at a time
- Click Save order to apply the new order
To cancel without saving, click Cancel. To reset to the previously saved order, click Reset to current order.
