Publish or Unpublish Shopify Products from Airtable
In Shopify, publishing controls where a product can be sold. Each product is published to one or more sales channels, such as your Online Store, Point of Sale, Google, or Facebook. If a product is not published to a channel, shoppers on that channel will not see it.
Managing this in the Shopify admin means opening each product and toggling channels one at a time. For larger catalogs or coordinated launches, that gets slow.
AirPower brings publishing into Airtable. Each sales channel maps to a checkbox column on your Products table. Tick a row to publish the product to that channel, untick to remove it. When the sync runs, Shopify reflects the change.
This article focuses on product publishing. The same Publishing pane is also available under Collections, where it works the same way.
Open the Publishing pane
- Open the sync
- Go to Data & fields
- Click Products (or Collections)
- Select the Airtable table
- Open the Publishing pane
Enable channels
The pane lists four built-in Shopify channels:
- Online Store
- Point of Sale
- Google & YouTube
- Facebook & Instagram
Any additional publication channels active in your Shopify store also appear in the list automatically. These can include third-party sales channel apps, international market catalogs, and B2B wholesale catalogs. Each one maps to its own Airtable checkbox column in the same way.
Toggle Enabled on a channel to include it in the sync, then choose the Airtable checkbox column to map it to. If the column does not exist, AirPower can create it.
Click Save sync when done.
How the sync works
During a Shopify → Airtable sync, AirPower checks the checkbox column for each channel where the product or collection is published.
During an Airtable → Shopify sync, AirPower publishes or unpublishes the product or collection on each enabled channel to match the checkbox value in Airtable.
