From Shopify to Airtable and back

Two Syncs do the work. One brings orders in and keeps them current. The other sends note and tag edits to Shopify.

  1. Bring your orders in

Add Orders and Order line items to a Shopify to Airtable Sync and save it. The last six months of orders download into linked tables, and new orders and order changes keep arriving on their own.

  2. Tag and annotate

Filter a view, for example unfulfilled orders or orders from one channel, then add tags or notes across hundreds of rows with paste or fill down.

  3. Click Sync now

Rows with a Shopify ID update that order's note and tags. Rows without a Shopify ID are skipped, because AirPower does not create orders.

Need to create orders? AirPower does not create Shopify orders from Airtable. To build an order in Airtable, create a draft order instead. Draft orders can be created and updated from Airtable, with linked customers and line items. Draft orders

Shopify admin or Airtable for orders

Shopify's bulk editor and CSV files already handle some orders edits. Here is what changes when you work in Airtable.

Task In the Shopify admin In Airtable with AirPower
Get orders into a spreadsheet Orders can be exported to CSV but not imported. Large exports are emailed to you. Orders arrive in Airtable as they happen, ready for grouped views, interfaces, and automations.
Product details on past orders The order export shows data from when each order was created, not current product information. Orders keep updating in Airtable as they change in Shopify, such as when they are paid, fulfilled, or refunded.
Tags and notes Bulk actions add or remove tags on selected orders. Tags and notes are columns, so you can filter, find and replace, and fill down before sending them back.

“We manage about 500 SKUs and being able to sync the data to airtable for analysis, automations, and reporting is invaluable.”

Order questions

More answers in the help center, or email team@airpowersync.com.

Can I create orders from Airtable?

No. AirPower only updates existing orders. To build an order in Airtable, create a draft order instead.

Which order fields can I change?

The order note and tags. Each row needs a Shopify ID so AirPower knows which order to update. The order name, totals, statuses, customer details, and line items come into Airtable for reporting, and edits to them are not sent back.

How far back can I load orders?

You choose. In Settings > Download data, set the Since date next to Orders and click Download. The default is six months back. After that, new orders and order changes arrive from Shopify on the Sync's schedule. Download past data

Can I report on UTM campaigns in Airtable?

Yes. Each order can bring in the source, referrer, and UTM source, medium, campaign, content, and term of the first and last visit that led to it. Group orders by campaign or source and add up their totals. Marketing attribution

Can I sync only some orders?

Yes, on the Plus plan. Filters decide which Shopify orders come into Airtable, for example by tag or date. For Airtable to Shopify, choose an Airtable view and only its rows are sent. Filter records
