Update Shopify Prices with Airtable Formulas
In Shopify, prices are stored on each variant as a fixed amount. Bulk updates mean editing variants directly or uploading a price CSV, both of which require the final number to already be calculated.
Pricing rules usually depend on cost, margin, currency rounding, category, or competitor data. Applying those rules in the admin means computing each price elsewhere and entering the result variant by variant.
AirPower can drive variant prices from an Airtable formula column. Express the rule once in Airtable. Map the formula to the variant price field. On each sync, the calculated price is pushed to Shopify.
Set up formula-driven pricing
- In your Airtable variants table, create a Formula column. Set its formula to calculate the price you want to send to Shopify.
- Open the Airtable → Shopify sync
- Go to Data & fields and click Variants
- In the Main Fields pane, map the price Shopify field to your formula column
- Click Save sync
Click Sync now on the dashboard sync card to push the calculated prices to Shopify.
