Manually Download Shopify Data to Airtable on Demand

Trigger a full Shopify to Airtable download for products, orders, customers, payouts, and more. Backfill existing records or reload data after mapping changes.

Manually Download Shopify Data to Airtable

Shopify → Airtable Syncs stay in step with Shopify by listening for live changes. New events update Airtable as they happen, but older records that existed before the Sync was set up, or before you mapped a new field, do not flow in on their own.

The Download Shopify data section in the sync editor triggers a full, on-demand download of existing Shopify data into Airtable. Run it after first setup to backfill history, after changing field mappings to repopulate columns, to fix data errors, or to recover after a Sync was paused.

  1. Open a Shopify → Airtable sync
  2. Scroll to Settings
  3. Click Download Shopify data

The section shows every supported Shopify download AirPower can run, regardless of which data types you have configured in Data & fields. A download only populates Airtable for data types that have an Airtable table and field mappings, so set those up first if you want the records to land.

If the sync has not been saved yet, the rows are visible but the Download buttons are disabled. The section shows the message “Save this sync first, then you can queue Shopify downloads.” Save the sync, then return to queue downloads.

This section appears only on Shopify → Airtable Syncs. Use Sync now or a schedule to run an Airtable → Shopify Sync.

Data types loaded alongside another download

Some data types do not have a Download row of their own because they load as part of another data type’s download:

  • Variants load with Products
  • Images load with Products
  • Locations load with Products
  • Order Line Items load with Orders
  • Refund Line Items load with Refunds
  • Balance Transactions load with Payouts

Data types pushed by Shopify automatically

A few data types do not need a manual download at all because Shopify pushes them to AirPower as events happen:

  • Inventory updates flow in whenever stock changes in Shopify. Configured within the Variants data type.
  • Fulfillments and Fulfillment Line Items flow in whenever Shopify sends a fulfillment event.
